Arantxa E. Cossio Aceves, from Tototlan, is one of the table tennis teams that will seek a place in the 2024 Paris Olympics at the Central American and Caribbean Games in El Salvador, and at the 2023 Pan American Games in Chile.
On February 3, the best 39 exponents of the national territory met at the facilities of the Dome of the Alcalde Sports Center of the CODE: 20 men and 19 women, who competed for the places for San Salvador and Santiago 2023, through a key game format, easy removal, four keys total. Arantxa got the second key of the National Table Tennis Selection.
Arantxa is considered one of the country's strongest cards in this sport and dreams of having the experience of being an Olympian.
Among Arantxa Cossio's achievements is being a three-time National Olympiad champion, a Central American champion twice, and a Latin American champion once. She has attended two Cadet World Cups, in addition to her different participation in World Camps and Circuits.
For now, the table-tennis player is in Austria where she continues with her preparation for
face the games of this year. Before leaving, she met with the municipal president of Tototlán, Juan Carlos Velázquez, who agreed to help her and presented an initiative in accordance with the character of economic support to the Tototlense council, so that she be granted a subsidy for registrations for her participation in the tournaments that will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany; where she will prepare for the next national and international fair. The girl from Tototlan also attends a training camp and participates in an International Premier League in Kufstein, Austria, and competes in various European tournaments.
